FAQ

There are several factors that go into deciding how often a property needs to be maintained. Depending on how many trees you have, how much turf grass you have, and what time of year it is, the frequency can change. Mowing is typically done weekly.

For routine mowing, mulching is usually the best option. This requires finer blades. However, if you're mowing for the first time in a while and are mowing longer pieces of grass, it is best to use a bag as the blades won't be mulched as easily.
Synthetic fertilization is the most common form of fertilizer and consists of inorganic material. Bio-fertilization is a term used for fertilizing products that have live microbial organisms and other organic materials. Both are effective forms of fertilization.

In our opinion, aerating your lawn is one of the most important services you will do. Here are some of the reasons why.

• Improved air circulation
• Improved water drainage
• Improved nutrient update
• Reduces thatch buildup
• improved lawn appearance (after the dirt plugs have desolved)
The frequency of aeration will depend on a number of factors, including the type of soil you have, the amount of foot traffic your lawn receives, and the overall condition of your lawn. If you have clay soil or your lawn receives a lot of foot traffic, you may need to aerate it twice a year. If you have sandy soil or your lawn is in good condition, you may only need to aerate it once a year.
While pre-emergents aren't necessary, they're usually recommended! There's nothing worse than dealing with a weed problem that could've been easily prevented. Pre-emergents are a good precaution to take and will often save you money in the long-run. Some clients only want it once a year, while others have to two or three times a year.
Lawn fertilization usually happens 2-3 times a year depending on what kind of grass it is and what it's used for. Things like trees, shrubs, and ground covers are usually fertilized once a year. However, there are always exceptions. Our professionals are here to help you analyze your yard and come up with a plan that will give you the best results.

The best solution for your drainage problems will depend on a number of factors, including the severity of the problem, the type of soil you have, and the layout of your property. It is important to consult with a professional landscaper to get a diagnosis and to develop a solution that is right for your needs. (See "Should I be aerating my lawn?")
